Tin Shed

nspired by an old rustic shed that was about to be demolished, Tin Shed is an exploration of the shadow play created by sunlight travelling into dark corners. The ripped corrugated roof creates an interesting and sinister edge between the light and dark. The original sketch that was used to create the print is titled "Beauty in Decay"

The main colour of this piece is a deep blue but the addition of yellow helps to echo the tinges of green and yellow found in the light. The layering of the three colours is achieved using two separate Lino blocks registered to create a single image.
